David and Goliath: A lesson on faith

Today's activity was a lesson on David and Goliath. The children and I discussed the story. Surprisingly, Jeremiah was well educated on the subject. I was very excited. The children painted a picture of David, slaying Goliath. Jasmine kept saying David. I think her favorite book, No David, came to mind. When they finished painting picture, they created a drawing about the story. It was fun to see them concentrating so hard.

Meanwhile, Jacob decided I wasn't feeding him fast enough. I guess me talking with the children about David and Goliath was taking away from him. The most interesting part was that he held the spoon with his right hand. He put the large put in the container and actually dug the food out. I couldn't believe it. He is growing up so fast.
