Lessons of Motherhood

Being a mother can be very challenging. I have really learned this since staying home. It is now my one year anniversary of being a SAHM.
  1. Stress happens. It is inevitable. Just admit you are stressed and move on.
  2. Sleep deprivation. I always worked while the children took naps. Not good. I have to remind myself to sleep when they sleep. I am still adjusting to that idea.
  3. Think positive. Looking at the positive of seeing the poop on the floor instead of the toilet is important. At least your child isn't constipated.
  4. Plans Fail. Scheduling everything with children can wreck havoc on your sanity when it fails. I have learned that going with the flow is so much easier.

What are some lessons you have learn since crossing over into the world of motherhood?

Happy Anniversary! Being a SAHM is tough... you just can't describe it to anyway. Take every job you have ever heard of and a SAHM does it - without pay. There are definitely rewards, just not any paycheck.
